HONOLULU—Gov. David Ige and officials from the U.S. Department of Energy will host a celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the landmark Hawaii Clean Energy Initiative (HCEI).

Since its launch 10 years ago HCEI has played a pivotal role in Hawaii’s effort to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels. Representatives from the State of Hawaii and the U.S. Department of Energy, signatories to the agreement that launched HCEI, will gather with other stakeholders to commemorate the anniversary of the landmark initiative.
