State of Hawaii Data Book
The State of Hawaii Data Book is the official summary of statistics for the State of Hawaii and the most comprehensive statistical resource available in a single compilation. Containing more than 800 data tables organized into 24 sections, it provides an extensive overview of Hawaii’s social, economic, and physical environment—from population and education to energy, tourism, and business enterprises. Now in its 57th edition, the Data Book has served as the state’s premier statistical reference since 1967.
The Data Book places primary emphasis on statewide data, with more limited coverage of counties, and other smaller geographic areas. References to original data sources for additional statistical detail are provided in the introductions to each section and at the end of each table. Agencies of the federal, state, and county governments, as well as numerous private organizations, assisted DBEDT’s Research and Economic Analysis Division in preparing the Data Book. We extend our appreciation to these organizations for their cooperation and contributions to this annual effort.
