Demographic, Social, and Economic Characteristics of Hawaii’s Race Groups: 2017-2021

This report examines Hawaii’s largest race groups using data collected by the U.S. Census Bureau. It includes detailed statistics on Hawaii’s White, Filipino, Japanese, Native Hawaiian, Chinese, Korean, Black/African American, Samoan, Micronesian, American Indian & Alaska Native, Vietnamese, Tongan, and Okinawan residents. The report explores social, household, and economic characteristics of each group. The statistics included in this report were based on the Selected Population tables from the American Community Survey, with data collected for the five years between 2017 to 2021.
