Monthly Economic Indicators
These monthly reports contain data on labor force and unemployment, wage and salary jobs, general fund tax revenue, building permits, single-family and condo resales, and visitor arrivals.
Monthly Economic Indicators (MEI) through January 2026 was released on February 26, 2026, but until the April 7th release of BLS/DBEDT-LRB Benchmark data, there are no January 2026 LAUS or Jobs data. Due to the federal shutdown and delayed data releases there are no Kauai building permit data for January. Maui County building permits for December and January are not available.
Monthly Economic Indicators (MEI) through February 2026 will be released on/about March 27th and will be updated on April 7th with BLS/DBEDT-LRB Benchmark and January 2026 LAUS and Jobs data.
