Monthly Economic Indicators
These monthly reports contain data on labor force and unemployment, wage and salary jobs, general fund tax revenue, building permits, single-family and condo resales, and visitor arrivals.
Monthly Economic Indicators (MEI) through December 2025 was released on January 29, 2025, and will be updated on February 5, 2026 with BLS/DBEDT-LRB LAUS seasonally-adjusted data, but due to the federal shutdown and delayed data releases there are no Kauai building permit data for November or December.
Monthly Economic Indicators (MEI) through January 2026 will be released in April reflecting the benchmarked LAUS and Jobs data but may be released on/about February 26, 2026, with other MEI January data.
