G. Utilities
This section presents statistics on water consumption in Hawaii from 1990 to 2023, showing annual usage in millions of gallons for the state and Honolulu, Hawaii, Kauai, and Maui counties. This section also includes data on sales by public utilities, of electricity, as measured in millions of kilowatt-hours, and of gas, in thousands of therms.
Information can be obtained from reports and records of the Board of Water Supply of the City and County of Honolulu, departments of water supply of the counties of Hawaii, Kauai, and Maui; the Hawaii State Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Division of Consumer Advocacy, and monthly financial reports issued by utility companies (Hawaiian Electric Company, Maui Electric Company, Hawaii Electric Light Company and Kauai Island Utility Cooperative).
