Section B — Labor Force and Jobs

B. Labor Force and Jobs

This section presents statistics on the size and composition of the labor force, and employment by industry.

Principal sources for the data on labor force and employment are the annual tabulations by the Hawaii State Department of Business, Economic Development & Tourism (DBEDT), and the reports of the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), National Agricultural Statistical Service (NASS), and the Hawaii Field Office. Historical Statistics of Hawaii, Section 4, includes figures for earlier years.
