Visitor Industry Declined in May 2024

According to preliminary statistics from DBEDT, total visitor arrivals and total visitor spending in May 2024 declined compared to May 2023.

Hawaii Broadband and Digital Equity Office — To gain a deeper understanding of how local companies utilize digital and broadband technology for their business operations, DBEDT's Hawaii Broadband and Digital Equity Office recently published its Hawaii digital economy survey involving more than 1,000 businesses.

DBEDT today announced that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for May was 3.0 percent, compared to 3.1 percent in April.

The report provides concise statistical information and analyses on Labor, Income and Prices, Taxes, Tourism, Construction, and other indicators, as well as an overview of the State of Hawaii and the four counties.
