DBEDT’s Hawaii Broadband and Digital Equity Office has spent much of 2023 meeting with community members and organizations to provide information on the development of the state’s first digital equity plan.

According to preliminary statistics from DBEDT, a total of 769,163 visitors came to the Hawaiian Islands in August 2023, down 7.3 percent from August 2022.

DBEDT today announced that the seasonally adjusted unemployment rate for August was 2.8 percent, the same as in July.

Keith Amemiya has recently been appointed as chair of Governor Green’s Sports Task Force, which is under DBEDT.

DBEDT released its third quarter 2023 Statistical and Economic Report today.
