Project: Haʻupu View (Lihūʻe, Kauaʻi)

LIHUʻE >> A blessing ceremony was held in September 2022 for the recently opened Haʻupu View rental complex in Lihūʻe.

Formerly known as Pua Loke Apartments, 50 of the 54 units are rented to households earning no more than 60% AMI.  Four are rented to those households earning no more than 100% AMI.

Five of the units are set aside for those who have faced or are facing homelessness.

The Kauaʻi Community Alliance and other nonprofits provide wrap-around services for those in transition.

HHFDC provided low-interest loans through the Rental Housing Revolving Fund and tax-exempt revenue bonds through the Hula Mae Multi-Family (HMMF) Tax-Exempt Bond Program.
