Kaiwahine Village Phase I provides 120 much-needed affordable rental homes in Kīhei, helping to alleviate the severe housing shortage in South Maui.
Developed by Ikaika Ohana, this project was completed during the challenging conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. By navigating significant construction costs in the South Maui market, the project successfully delivered stable, affordable housing to the local community.
Project Overview
- Total Units: 120 affordable rental homes.
- Unit Mix: Two- and three-bedroom floor plans.
- Target AMI: Households earning 30% to 60% of the Area Median Income (AMI).
- Starting Rents: From $510 for two-bedroom units and $571 for three-bedroom units.
