Originally retained by the Hawaiʻi Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC) for future development, the parcel was transferred to the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) to provide residential opportunities for qualified beneficiaries of the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act.

Development Partnership
The transfer of this parcel from HHFDC to DHHL represents a strategic collaboration to maximize land use for native Hawaiian beneficiaries. DHHL is responsible for the necessary infrastructure, including roadway improvements to Puʻainako Street.
