NOTIFICATION OF QUEEN STREET WATERLINE REPLACEMENT

Howard Hughes Corporation’s contractor, Koga Engineering, will be working mainly on the Makai side of Queen Street from Cooke to Cummins street, replacing a 6” waterline with a 12” waterline. The work will be carried out in two phases with Phase 1 being the Cooke to Ward street segment, from May to August 2021, and Phase II being the Ward to Cummins street segment, from September to October 2021. Howard Hughes Corporation will be providing affected businesses with information about the impact to parking and driveways at least three weeks in advance.

Work hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding holidays. The work will commence in May 2021, but Koga Engineering crews may be walking around the project area this month to assess logistics and constraints.

There will be a single water outage at the end of the project to transition service from the old to the new waterline. Notification of the water outage will be provided by Howard Hughes Corporation.
