Important information regarding permit processing for the Kalaeloa Community Development District (“CDD”) Rules:
Effective October 27, 2012, the new Kalaeloa CDD Rules Chapter 215 of the Hawaii Administrative Rules (“HAR”) and the Kalaeloa Reserved Housing Rules (Chapter 216, HAR) supersedes the Rules for Health and Safety (Chapter 200, HAR) previously established. We note the following on permit processing:
Permit Fees: Pursuant to Section 15-215-91, all Kalaeloa CDD Use permits will be charged a fee. The fee schedule can be found in Section 15-215-91 of the Kalaeloa CDD Rules. Payment will be required prior to approval of the permit. The fee is payable by cash or check and is non-refundable.
Permit Processing: All Permit applications are to be dropped off at the HCDA office for processing. HCDA no longer processes permits ‘over the counter’; processing generally takes approximately 7 working days for renovations and Rule Clearance permits.
