Ulana Reserved Housing – HCDA Buyback Program

Owners of an Ulana Reserved Housing Unit may request to participate in HCDA’s Buyback Program if they can no longer meet the owner occupancy requirement or if they need to sell the unit during the regulated term. If the owner wishes to initiate a sale back to HCDA, please submit the required documents listed below. Your request letter will serve as the formal initiation of the buyback process.

Required Documents for HCDA Buyback Review

  • Owner Request Letter stating your intent to participate in HCDA’s Buyback Program
  • Current appraisal of the unit
  • Executed Unit Deed
  • Executed Unilateral Declaration
  • Preliminary Title Report

Please submit all required documents via email to: [email protected]

After all required documents are received, HCDA will evaluate each request on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the options and procedures outlined in the Ulana Buyback Plan. The full plan can be found here: 2-FOR-ACTION-Staff-Report-Ulana-Buyback-Plan-7.2.25-final-signed.pdf

HCDA will calculate the buyback price and obtain your approval before proceeding.  If you agree to proceed at the aforementioned price, HCDA will select one of the four buyback options based on existing conditions and will again request your approval prior to proceeding.
