Subject: Geotechnical Investigation for Iwilei-Kapālama Electrical Infrastructure Project

Please be advised that geotechnical boring activities will be conducted along North King Street between Dillingham Boulevard and Kokea Street beginning on or around July 11, 2025 and continuing intermittently during non-peak traffic hours in July and August 2025, weather permitting.

Purpose of the Investigation:

This investigation is being conducted to gather subsurface soil and rock information for the purpose of Iwilei-Kapālama Electrical Infrastructure Project. The data collected will be used to determine the appropriate design and ensure the safety and stability of the project.

Activities:

The geotechnical investigation will involve drilling small-diameter boreholes using a small vertical drill rig in parking lanes where feasible. Soil and rock samples will be collected for laboratory testing.

Location and Schedule:

• Location: along N King St. from Dillingham Blvd. to Kokea St.
• Dates: Approximately June 11, 2025 to August 2025 (weather dependent)
• Hours of Operation: 8:30am-3:30pm

Potential Impacts:

• Temporary noise from drilling equipment.
• Temporary presence of drilling equipment and support vehicles.
• Potential minor traffic disruptions in the immediate vicinity of the boreholes.
• Minimal dust generation.

Safety Precautions:

• All work will be performed by licensed and experienced professionals.
• Safety cones and/or barriers will be used to delineate work areas.
• Please exercise caution when near the work site and follow any posted signage or directions from on-site personnel.

Please be advised that geotechnical boring activities will be conducted along North King Street from Kohou Street to Iwilei Road, continuing on Iwilei Road to Kuwili Street beginning on or around June 23, 2025 and continuing for approximately 5 days, weather permitting.

Purpose of the Investigation: This investigation is being conducted to gather subsurface soil and rock information for the purpose of Iwilei-Kapālama Electrical Infrastructure Project. The data collected will be used to determine the appropriate design and ensure the safety and stability of the project.
