This form is the official Request for HHFDC Information, which is used specifically for properties subject to a Hawaii Housing Finance & Development Corporation (HHFDC) Lease Agreement. The HHFDC is the state agency, and its Real Estate Services Section (RESS) is responsible for managing these residential lease programs.
Who should use this form?
This document is intended for the current lessee(s) or owner(s) of the leasehold property. It can also be legally submitted by an authorized agent, lender, or legal representative, provided they attach a signed authorization form from the owner or borrower alongside this submittal.
What is this form used for?
Property owners must submit this form to request official HHFDC approval, administrative action, or documentation for several common property activities. You can check the relevant boxes on the form depending on your objective:
- Capital Improvements: Required for any structural replacements, alterations, and/or additions to the physical dwelling or the land boundaries.
- Consent to Mortgage: Formally required if you are executing a property refinance, obtaining a Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC), or undergoing a loan modification framework.
- Transfer of Title / Ownership: Also processed as an Assignment of Lease, this applies to selling the property, adding/removing individuals from the legal title, or transferring the real estate assets into a trust.
- Land Purchase: Applicable if purchasing the leased-fee land interest outright is explicitly included in your original lease parameters or compliant with prevailing state statutes.
- Copies of Lease Documents: Used to request official administrative copies of your Original Lease, Amendments, or historical Assignments.
*Note: Document copies cost 25 cents per page, and a structural bill will be generated. Payment must be made by check in advance; electronic payments are not allowed.
