Description and Summary of Proposed Amendments
HCDA is proposing to amend Title 15, Chapter 217, Hawaiʻi Administrative Rules (“HAR”), Mauka Area Rules, relating to the Kakaʻako Mauka Community Development District, to revert the maximum allowable density in the Central Kakaʻako Neighborhood Zone from a floor area ratio (“FAR”) of 3.5 down to 1.5 until adequate infrastructure is provided in this area or as otherwise determined by the HCDA executive director. The proposed modifications include edits to HAR §15-217-57 (adequate infrastructure) and Figure NZ.5 (Central Kakaʻako Neighborhood Zone).
