Hawaiʻi’s Genuine Progress Indicator (GPI) Report 2022
The Hawaiʻi Genuine Progress Indicator (HI GPI) is a project of the State of Hawaiʻi, developed and maintained by the Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT). The information presented on this site is based on the report “Updating the Genuine Progress Indicator for the State of Hawaiʻi” by Kirsten L. L. Oleson, Ph.D., and Regina Ostergaard‑Klem, Ph.D., completed as part of a DBEDT‑funded project. All GPI calculations, indicator definitions, and methodological updates reflect the State of Hawaiʻi’s official GPI framework.
