Pre-leasing and waitlist applications are now being accepted for the all-new, all-affordable, 302-unit Nāulu rental housing complex in Hālawa.

Located across from the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard, and only a short walking distance from the Hālawa Skyline rail station, the project formerly known as Hālawa View II was awarded significant financial resources from the Hawaiʻi Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC).

Depending on the type of units available, households may only qualify if they earn no more than 30% to 60% of Area Median Income (AMI) for the Honolulu region, as determined by the U.S. Office of Housing and Urban Development.

Nāulu is 25 stories tall and includes studios to four-bedroom units. All units will include modern finishes including air conditioning. Residents will also have access to a fitness center, sky lounge, study areas for keiki and outdoor barbecue areas. It also features Hawaiʻi’s largest outdoor mural.

The $168 million project is the largest Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) development in Hawaiʻi in the last 15 years. It was developed through a public-private partnership led by Pacific Development Group. It was designed by AHL and built by Nordic PCL. Besides HHFDC, partners included Hunt Capital Partners, the City and County of Honolulu, and Bank of Hawaii.
