CENTRAL MAUI WELCOMES LARGEST WORKFORCE-AFFORDABLE HOUSING COMPLEX IN DECADES

A grand opening of the 334-unit Kaulana Mahina Apartments workforce housing project was celebrated by Legacy Partners and the AFL-CIO Building Investment Trust (BIT) on April 18. It is the largest workforce and rental housing development to be constructed in Central Maui in decades.

Maui County Mayor Richard Bissen and Hawaiʻi Housing Finance and Development Corporation – HHFDC Executive Director Dean Minakami, representing Governor Josh Green, attended the ceremony.
 
HHFDC assisted the project by facilitating 201H exemptions critical toward its development.
