2026 FUNDING ROUND FOR FINANCING PROGRAMS 

The Hawaiʻi Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC) proudly announces the start of the 2026 Funding Round, inviting applications for the following programs:

  • The Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) program
  • The Hula Mae Multi-Family (HMMF) Revenue Bond Program
  • The Rental Housing Revolving Fund (RHRF) program

PLEASE NOTE that there are material changes for the upcoming 2026 Funding Round. In 2026, to submit a Consolidated Application for Financing, Applicants must submit a Letter of Intent (LOI) and full repayment of all application fees by Friday, January 16, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. HST.

This year, HHFDC is using a new online application system, Procorem, (coming soon) to help simplify and streamline the 2026 Funding Round submission process. Because this system introduces new requirements, HHFDC strongly encourages all interested parties and applicants to carefully review the updated instructions, deadlines, and documentation.

February 11, 2026 Freddie Mac Training – 10 am HST

Topics: This session, hosted in collaboration with Freddie Mac, will provide an overview of the HFA Advantage product and introduce the DPA One Platform, a powerful tool designed to help identify down payment assistance programs and better serve homebuyers.

The Affordable Housing Pipeline Dashboard tracks hundreds of affordable projects in the development pipeline since the start of the Green Administration. Data was collected from publicly-available sources to identify projects where a proportion of the units have affordability restrictions or are Department of Hawaiian Home Lands homesteads. These projects are tracked across seven phases of housing development to provide greater insight into when projects will be completed and what hurdles they face.
