  • Need for Housing Among Individuals with Access and Functional Needs in Hawaii

    In response to Act 039 (2018), the Hawaiʻi Housing Finance and Development Corporation (HHFDC) contracted with the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s Center on Disability Studies (UH) to conduct a study of current housing waitlists in the state and counties and develop a housing report to quantify the need for housing among individuals with access and functional needs.

  • Housing Action Plan
    Final Report to the Hawaii State Legislature prepared by the Hawaii Institute for Public Affairs.

  • Hawaii Housing Planning Study:
    A comprehensive set of housing data prepared for a consortium of state and county housing agencies. The study identifies current housing conditions, presents demographic and economic characteristics of Hawaii’s households, and measures housing need, demand and preferences. It also provides an update on the housing inventory and rental housing data.

  • Housing Functional Plans
    The State Housing Functional Plans delineate specific strategies of policies and implementable priority actions.
